| 1.45 | SAINT ROI 7/2 | STAGE STAR will be popular and is difficult to get away from but I suspect he is better is better on a more undulating track and prefer to look elsewhere. SAINT ROI is an unknown over this trip but after looking outpaced at Cheltenham more of a stamina test could just play to his strengths. | 2ND |
| 2.20 | ZENTA 5/4 | Grade 3 winner on only her second start over hurdles and a solid third place in the Triumph hurdle, she pretty much sets the standard here. | WON |
| 2.55 | SHISKIN 2/1 | With BRAVEMANSGAME ruled out now due to an ownership issue SHISKIN is the pick with Conflated as next best. | WON |
| 3.30 | CONSTITUTION HILL 1/9 | Not a betting race CH should eat this lot up and spit them out, just sit back and enjoy. EPATENTE could will be the one for the forecast | WON |
| 4.05 | LATENIGHTPASS 5/1 | WINGED LEADER has an incredible record with 8 wins in point to points and hunter chases in his last 9 runs however this is his first try over these big fences and I am passing him over in favour of LATENIGHTPASS who won this last year after a similar preparation and is sure to run well again. | 4TH (S) |
| 4.40 | GREY DIAMOND 6/1 | Won with a fair bit in hand at Haydock and a 7lb rise shouldn’t prevent him being involved again. | 7th |
| 5.15 | DYSART ENOS 9/1 | If you have read the eBook ‘The Little Book Of Aintree Grand National Festival Statistics 2023‘ you will know that 4 year olds have a poor record in this race, this rules out JOLIE COEUR ALLEN and JULY FLOWER. Also all of the last 11 winners have run in at least 2 bumpers thus eliminating the favourite SEEYOUINMYDREAMS. In pursuit of a bit of value the each way pick is DYSART ENOS who has won both of the NHF races with a bit in hand. | WON |
